The 2026 Bathurst 12 Hour race is shaping up to be an exhilarating event, featuring a robust lineup of competitors. This year's entry list boasts 16 teams in the Pro class and an additional four in the Pro-Am category, making it one of the most fiercely contested races in recent memory.
With a notable nine-car grid competing in the Bronze class and only two vehicles in the Silver class, the competition is diverse and intense. In total, 35 cars have registered for this year’s race, marking the highest number of entries since the 2019 edition.
However, it's worth noting that one team has withdrawn from the initial roster; Craft-Bamboo Racing decided to field a single Mercedes-AMG instead of the two they had originally planned to enter.
A mix of both current and former Supercars drivers will grace the track, including the reigning champion Chaz Mostert, who will be joined by Cameron Waters and Thomas Randle as part of the Scott Taylor Motorsport team.
In a late addition, the announcement of Will Brown means that there are now 11 full-time Supercars drivers included in the lineup, which adds to the excitement and competitive edge of the event.
This year’s race has attracted a total of 12 different car manufacturers. Notably, Corvette makes its first appearance with the Z06 GT3.R, while Ford enters The Mountain for the first time with its Mustang GT3, showcasing the expanding diversity of automotive engineering in endurance racing.
